    1) Ruth Gutteridge of Luton, widow of Daniel Gutteridge, late of Luton yeoman, deceased (her first husband Ewer Smith late of St Albans, grocer, deceased having left no issue by her) (vendor) 2) Daniel Gutteridge of Biscott, Luton, yeoman (purchaser) James Pryor of Luton, Maltster (Trustee), Close of Meadow ground at Blackwater Bridge, near Luton [1 1/2A] heretofore in occupance Christopher Eaton, Clerk, late of Mary Trustram widow, now of Lydia Hubbins, widow ,River Lee on one side causeway leading from the Bridge to the Churchyard on the other side & abuts at one end on Blackwater Bridge AND pieces of land lying dispersed in common fields. In Blackwater Field 1 piece heretofore 2 pieces (but now laid together) [5A] shooting on both the ways leading to Eaton Green land heretofore Ettrick now of William Cox on one side & lands heretofore of Sir John Napier & now of Earl of Bute on the other side. In Bridge Field a) piece under a hill called Hant Hill alias Hart Hill [3A] land heretofore of heirs of Richard Knight & now of William Hay on one side & land heretofore of Sir John Napier & now of Earl of Bute on other side b) one piece more in same field [3A] near Coney Hall land heretofore Sir John Napier, now Earl of Bute on both sides c) one piece more in same field [2A] abs at one end on the way leading to Stockholm Bridge to Cowridge End abs land formerly of Thomas Awberry & now of William Hay on both sides. IN Sewell Field one piece [3A] shooting at one end on Broadwater & at other end on land heretofore Mr. Chalkley, afterwards Mr. Cart & now of Mr. Cart's Trustees on one side & land heretofore of Sir John Napier & now of Earl of Bute on other side formerly in occupance of Mary Trustram, afterwards of John Smith & now are in several occupants of Daniel Gutteridge (2) (above), William Hinson, James Gutteridge, Samuel Chase, Robert Shaw,Consideration £420 paid by Daniel Gutteridge to 1) & 5s by Pryor to 1).24 & 25 Mar 1789.
