Sent to Mr Chisnall, Enfield. Message reads: 'Duke St 16.8.12 Dear Pa rotten journey - wind rain & a puncture at Markyate. Picked up with one of our customers from St Albans & stopped at 'The Packhorse' at Markyate, but left it quite sober. Stopped for tea at the White Hart & mended puncture. Think the outer cover (back) is going home. Very soft & is opening in places. Weather fine now. Percy.'
