Beckingham [to Mrs W-G at Bushmead] had just visited. Saw Polly [Mary Charlotte Chawner] - the Dr [Chawner] doesn't think you consumptive - long letter from Kitty [Catherine Raynes, sister], who with husband and baby have short tour in Spain - summer weather not suit her, and might return to depot in Perth. Papa [John Milnes] sends peppermint drops, gingerbread and pears. Give Sophia the patterns. Note from Papa. (This is not deposited at the Record Office - for information only.)
