  • Title
T.Setchell, [Dean ?], to the Rev. Mr. Crockford, Keysoe. His son Elisha has been obliged to leave his place at Mildenhall, Suffolk, in consequence of his Master's failure. His wife and two children, one only 7 weeks old, have been sent home, and he has gone to try and obtain another situation as a shoemaker. They are obliged to apply to the parish for relief. Asks Vicar to go with the bearer, John Cherry, who is her father, an honest industrious labourer consequently unable to maintain her without assistance. Requests sympathetic aid to the family, "as they have had a lying in, and so many miles distant, and no expence to the parish she has been left a month". Their goods are all at Dean, safe as when they left Keysoe.
