    - - to eldest son John Barber, all estate in Biggleswade, except that recently bought of Thos. Chamberlain, and estate in Broom & Stanford, subject to payment of £60 annuity to wife Elizabeth, who is to live rent-free in 'my Farm House at Broom- - - wherein John Costin now dwelleth or in my house at Biggleswade where Richard Hyde now lives.' - - to son William Barber estate in parish of Hawnes & Cardington and £1700 when of age, to be invested by executors for his education, for which the rents are also to be used. - - to daughter Eliz. Barber 26 acres freehold in Biggleswade lately bought of Thos. Chamberlain for £850, provided she will on request of son John Barber 1 year after his decease convey it to him for £850. - - to wife Elizabeth £400 and 'One Horse Chaise, a Silver Pint Mug' and the furniture of the 'best Chamber in the House wherein I dwell and the Clock in the Maids Room.' - - to son Jn. Barber 'My Silver Tankard' (rest of plate & linen between wife & 3 children in equal shares.) and Personal Estate. (refers also to property in parishes of Biggleswade, Hawnes & Cardington.) Executrix.: wife Elizabeth. Executors: cousin, William Ringstead Esq., of London; brother-in-law, Bartholomew Best of Putnoe. and John Field of Polehanger, yeo. (To each 5 guineas.) Witnessed: Thos.
