    Trust deed: (1) Mayor, bailiffs etc of Bedford (2) Sir William Harpar and Dame Alice his wife, reciting letters patenting 1552 [BorBH 2/1]. (1) found and establish a free and perpetual school in Bedford, in the "free scole house", which (2) of late built; Edmund Grena is to be master, and Robert Elbone usher; (2) gives to (1) for maintaining the school, the schoolhouse and 13 acres 1 rod of meadow in St Andrews, Holborn (abuttals) in trust for the purpose set out in the letters patent; with warrant by (1) to William Albanie, citizen and merchant taylor of London, to take seisin. 2 seals. Endorsed livery of seisin, 15 May 1566, and enrollment of deed in Chancery, 1 Aug 1793.
