He has a comfortable income at present, and is entitled to next presenting of a living in the north of Devon of a clear £1000 now held by an incumbent of over 80. Mrs. Tom Grubbe likely to have another infant. Heard from the Gerys - no matrimonial adventure there since my quondam flirt Hugh's affair. They have taken a house about 13 miles from Bushmead. Miss Sikes to marry some attorney. Dowager Lady Welby [Elizabeth] left off going to London. Is going to Buxton., with eldest daughter. Lady Welby of Denton [Wilhelmina] in a bad state of health. Her daughter Wilhelmina to marry Dr. [F] Browning. Mrs. Welby Northmore has had a son in India. Papa [Rev Thomas Milnes] to Leamington.
