Recites lands (described in (b) below.) left to Agnes, wife of H. Thorogood in Will of Joane Bromsall of 12 May, 1689. (Agnes since deceased), with remainders to Nath. Thomson (since deceased) & to Richard Thorogood, the son. Nath. Thomson died before Agnes Thorogood. After her death lands described in (b) below went to R. Thorogood, the son.) Recites that lands described in (c) below bought by H. Thorogood.) -- (a) -- Cottage in Girtford, occupied by Henry Thorougood and wife & 1 acre adjoining; 4 1/2 acres in fields of Sandy (as in AD2759). -- (b) 3 acres Redd Grasse Close in down field near Stone hills in Sanday; 3 3/4 acres fields of Sandey & Girtford. -- (c) 'Colleridges Toft' in Girtford adjoining cottage (adjoining (a)) & abutting south London Road & cottage of John Smith; 1 acre 'Merrills Knowle' in Girtford. -- and all other freehold of Henry Thorogood in Sandy & Girtford. (to use of H. Thorogood for life, then Isaac Smith for 99 yrs., then to R. Thorogood the son - provided £50 is paid by him to his brother Henry Thorogood (jun.) 1 yr. after death of Henry Thorogood (sen.). If Henry Thorogood (jun.) is dead 1 yr. after death of his father, use to Isaac Smith to be void.)
