    Manor of Wroxhill, Marston Moretaine, and lands in Westoning and Eversholt, purchased. of Ric. Gurney and his mother and Mr. Hen. Beaumont, to nephew Ambrose Reddall son of late brother Wm. decd., if he dies to nephew William brother of Ambrose; if he dies to nephew Richard, 2nd son of bro. Richard; if he dies to brother Richard. He has at certain times had 'divers and considerable sums' of money put out at interest, in case personal estate shall not be sufficient to discharge such sums, all the above lands are charged with payment and interest. 'All my study of books (except books of accounts which I give to my exor.) and all papers relating to the law, gold watch, swords, hangars, guns and pistols, bookcase and scrutore in my study, and all shelves used for to lay papers or writings on' to nephew Ambrose, eldest son of Richard at 21; ' but in case my said nephew Ambrose, son of my brother Richard shall not be brought up to the profession of the law and my said nephew Richard is brought up to the law, then I give all my said books and papers relating thereto and shelves to him'. To 'my honoured father and mother' 1 guinea each to buy them rings. To brother Richard £30 to put his family in mourning. Ditto to sister Mary Ligoe, who is forgiven the money she owes him. To 'my esteemed friend' Tho. Conington 10 guineas 'and desire he would assist my exor. in making out my brothers bills. To friend Mr. Wm. Cawne 1 guinea to buy him a ring. House and premises, purchased of Mr. Wm. Hanwell occupied by Jane Gouldsmith in Eversholt, to 'faithful friend' Tho. Roe sr. of Eversholt, he paying thereout to niece Eliz. daughter of brother Richard £50; if she dies to brother Richard. To Tho. Roe all wearing apparel, linen and woollen, hats, shoes, stockings, wigs, shirts and boots. To Jas. Yarrell of Eversholt 50s. To all servants living with him at time of death 50s, To poor of Eversholt £10. Mortgages, bills, bonds, notes and securities for money, plate, linen, pictures, household stuff, goods, chattels, personal estate 'both here and in my chambers in London' to brother Richard, exor. Trustees: brother Richard and 'my loving Kinsman' Steph. Cooke of Leighton, to pay rents to sister Mary Ligoe as long as her father in law Fra. Ligoe esq. lives; then to be invested or laid out in purchase of lands etc. for use of such nephew as is heir to manor of Wroxhill. To Steph. Cooke 10 guineas. Wtns. Edw. Symon, John Symon, Jos.
