- Scope and ContentShefford. Has written to William and sent the boys a cake. Hope they like their present school. How is my little god-daughter? We intend leaving Shefford in the course of a fortnight, and have taken lodgings at Bedford for next six months, when I hope will shall have Mr. Long's House. Can give Mr. W. Gery a Bed even at our lodgings, as we shall have four bedrooms, two sitting rooms, and a kitchin. Mrs. Trevor continues in a very dubious state. No prospect of Mrs. Williamson's return from Brighton. Have spoken to my uncle about the tea. I think Sir G. Osborn will approve of your new road. Ann [Ann Skevington, sister of E.C. Skevington] joins in best respects. (This is not deposited at the Record Office - for information only.)
