    16a. 3 r. severally in the flds. of Eversholt, purchased by father, and of which Tho. Seman, son and heir of John Seman, is feoffee to testator's use (by reason that his father was sole seised thereof by survivor), are to be delivered by Tho. Seman 'as he will answer before Godd' to such persons as shall be appointed by testator's 'singler good lord of Woburn and John Astlowe, parson of Eversholt' to be feoffees to testator's use 'as shortly as it may be convenyently done'. Tho. while feoffee, and the new feoffees as soon as appointed, shall suffer testator's wife Agnes to enjoy 2a. 3r. for life. As to the residue, the feoffees shall suffer such persons as yearly shall be deputed to have the rule and governance of the town goods of Eversholt to take the issues, and 'yerely kepe on obite with masse of Requiem Placebo et Dirige in the church of Eversholt on Mid Lent Sonday, evyn when thobite of Wm. Alwyn thelder is kept. . . and at the same obite I will there shalbe offered 3 masse pens and at my burieng 4d. Also I will that the same persons shall yerely distribute 12d. in Almes amongest the poore people the Sonday before Cristmas Day'. On wife's death the 2 ac. 3 r. assigned to her are to be treated in the same manner, so that all issues above the cost of the obits and alms shall be employed to the good of the town by the advice of the said abbot and parson and their successors. If the number of the feoffees falls to 3 or 2, these shall enfeoff more up to 9 or 10. 'And if it fortune the said feoffees or townsmen hereafter to be remysse or negligent of the performance of this my last will then I will that my next heire shall take thissues . . . to have to his owyn use, kepyng the said obit'.
