My dear Cousin. Pleased to have letter. Asks after Mary Hannah. Mayor of Exeter has said cholera is near. Anxious about little grandson John Whitlock who has had typhus. They have 3 grandchildren with them - mother has returned to India. Have had robberies. Glad you like Ramsgate. (This is not deposited at the Record Office - for information only.)
