Robert Bell, late sheriff, to Francis Dodsworth, now sheriff:
Writ of capias ad satisf, Common Pleas, returnable Hilary Term, against John Beane at the suit of Henry Jellis for £15 10s, together with John Beane.
Prisoners as follows:
William Staunton, capias from Exchequer for £10,000;
Hannah, wife of William Sendall, latitat from King's Bench at suit of William Wye & Edward Burr for £500;
Robert Flanders, capias from Common Pleas, at suit of Samuel Lambert for £30 debt and 40s. costs;
John Barton, excom' cap' King's Bench;
Thomas Reynolds alias Burnwood, capias, Common Pleas, at suit of James Pepper for trespass;
William Smithe, warrant from Wm. Foster JP on suspicion of stealing goods of Thomas Newman; Henry Jessopp, a felon awaiting transportation;
William Staunton, warrant from Robert Audley esq., for rape of Elizabeth King;
Robert Charlton, warrant from St. John Thompson esq. JP on suspicion of robbing Mr. Morley on highway;
John Smith, John Hughes, John Abbott, warrant from George Abbott esq. JP on suspicion of stealing 3 horses;
Richard Peirson, warrant from St. John Thompson, breaking the house of Alice Partridge at night. Witnesses Richard Lee, John Keeling.
