Scope and Content
Theft of marriage registers and certificates from Beeston chapel in Nov 1991, including: - note that safe had been stolen in its entirety as had that fron Everton four years previously and that at Trinity chapel in Biggleswade badly damaged; - the last weddings at Beeston and Everton were four years previously and at Mogerhanger much longer and wish of the Superintendent Minister to deregister the chapels for marriages; - last two marriages at Beeston were both in Apr 1986 being of Vivien Packer and Pat Tucker;
- discovery of the safe in a disused well in Beeston in Jan 1992, the registers being badly water damaged and certificates not recovered; - agreement of 22 Mar 1992 to deregister Beeston chapel for marriages
