'From information I received I went to Mr Wm Day the constable of Eaton Socon on Sunday morning last to inquire after a slop frock, which I had lost the day before, when I was harrowing for Mr Robert Thorns at Dulo. I on that morning laid my slop frock on a hedge in the field where I was at work. I went away for about ten minutes, leaving other people at work in the field & when I returned my frock was gone. I found the frock at Mr Day's house, & it is now in is possession.' Signed by a mark.
