- TitleCopy of resolutions of the Bedford Corporation Council in 1804 relative to Richard Lane's premises, reciting Corporation lease of 28 Sept 1789 for 11 years to John Price of London, gentleman, of certain premises belonging to the Corporation bounded: in front - by the High Street; at back - by the Fish Market; abutting North on house in occupation of Mr John Kilpin; and on South by a passage from a house in the occupation of Mr William Bettles; which premises were then in the occupation of Robert Birt, Thomas Hinde and Isaac Covington; and that on the expiration of the lease on 28 Sept 1800 no new lease has been made, so the tenants were given notice to pay rent to the Corporation and that an action be begun against Richard Lane for rents received by him since 1800.
