    Lease and Release: (1) Elizabeth Allen, Bedford, widow and devisee named in will of George Allen, late of Bedford, victualler, deceased (2) Peregrine Nash, Bedford, brewer. Conveyance (1) to (2) for £132 3s 4d to be paid to William Mingay of Bedford, sadler, by an indenture of assignment of even date between William Mingay, Elizabeth Allen, Peregrine Nash, and Thomas Gregory of Bedford, clerk, in discharge of that amount of money owing to William Mingay for principle and interest of a mortgage made to him of the premises and for £67 16s 8d to Elizabeth Allen - messuage, cottage or tenement called by the sign of the Wrestlers heretofore in the occupation of Elizabeth Smith, widow, late of George Allen deceased, now of Elizabeth Allen in Stonehouse Lane, also a piece of ground whereon a messuage in two dwellings formerly stood with stable yard and appurtenances in Stonehouse Lane formerly belonging to Edward Hawkins afterwards to Henry Hurst heretofore in the occupation of Rose Martin, widow, and Charles Gately, since of George Allen deceased and now of Elizabeth Allen, abutting: East - on a messuage or tenement late in the occupation of Mrs Gately; West - messuage above granted with this ground
