Conveyance; for £10: The Mayor etc of Bedford (no names given) to Jacob Lawrence of Bedford, gentleman. A piece of ground (now a garden plot) in parish of St Paul in Bedford, in a street called "the Piggmarket", adjoining South on churchyard of St Paul, and on the said street North, East on the tenement sometimes called "the common Backhowse at the Nether end of the Butcherow", and West on a garden belonging to said Mayor etc, late in tenure of Luke Cooke. Witnesses: Oliver Bromball, William Doughtie and Samuel Chambers (scrivener). (Small red seal)
