- TitleLetter from F Tanqueray to John Hatfield Brooks. Nutt and Knuttell are getting to loger heads about possession. Knuttell gave one month for Nutt to get crops off front field in return for early possession of a bit of the other field but Nutt is refusing to give up possession. Knuttell to assert his rights against Brooks. ‘…I do not know what your arrangements with Nutt are but if you can induce him to give up possession of the little bit of the other field I think it will be wise.’ Advises Brooks to get rid of Wilkinson ‘He will be no use to you & it seems absurd to go on paying him a commission for nothing.’
