Scope and Content
The estates of the Brooks family in the 19th and early 20th centuries from the marriage settlement of 1816 onwards. This includes correspondence, draft wills, tax returns and details of financial transactions, conveyances of property, and legal proceedings.

The documents were listed in date order. This means that documents on particular subjects may be separated from other documents on the same subject if that issue was only returned to after a period of years. Where possible these groups of records have been cross referenced.
