Title
Minutes of an agreement made at a meeting held 28th May 1827 at the
house of Thos. Goss at Stanbridge, in the parish of Leighton Buzzard,
by the owners and occupiers of premises in the hamlet and fields of
Stanbridge concerning stocking and depasturing of cows and sheep.
i) they agree to enter into Articles of Agreement to the effect of
former Articles of 30th December 1814 to be in force for 12 years
from 6th April last.
ii) all claims of cottage rights to be proved. disputes to be
determined by a major part of the farmers at a general Vestry.
iii) resolution concerning common rights of farm houses now sold
apart from their lands.
iv) resolution that it is permissible to sow the field before it
becomes the Fallow Field with clover or vetch to grow instead of
lying fallow, though to only one third of area of fallow field,
and this can be several and not common until 20th September each
year. Such land to be excluded from common from 11 October (or
for clover from 10th Nov) to 20th Sept.
