    After you left us we had Count Reuss. John proposes to accept your invitation to Bonby. The Gorhams are pretty well. Jane came to our last communion, and seems to find comfort in coming now and then from that land of Nod. Little Jane is left with us to the delight of Samuel John is much as usual, there seems little prospect of his settling to anything. Thomas we seldom see. He has been to Ludgershall and has brought back with him Claud who is reading with him Greek etc. At Bedford they have the cholera and it has now made its way to Ravensden and Bletsoe. We have John Smith for our coachee and his daughter Betsy for housemaid.
