Correspondence mainly letters from the Rev. Dr. Thomas Martyn of Pertenhall (rector 1804-1825) and from his son, the Rev. John King Martyn (rector 1800-1804) to the latter's son-in-law, the Rev. William Mudge (rector of Pertenhall 1842-1886), which were given to the parish in 1938 by Mr. George C. Lloyd, a grandson of Mr Mudge. (Letters 1-4 - From the Rev. Scope and Content
A deed of 1577 relating to property at Sedbergh, Yorkshire, also presented to the parish of Pertenhall by Mr.Lloyd in 1938 was deposited in the County Record Office in 1981. With the permission of the Rector the deed was subsequently transferred to Cumbria Record Office, Kendal, in August 1981, the town of Sedbergh having been transferred to Cumbria from Yorkshire in 1974. A transcript of the deed is at CRT 130 PER 7.
