    George Watson, clerk, & Thomas Harvy, grocer, both of Ampthill (surviving trustees), to Ezechiel Rouse of Ampthill, clerk, Towers Ascroft of Meppershall, clerk, Robert Farnell, grocer, Henry Hill, jun., grocer, both of Ampthill, Robert Field, yeoman, George Fowler, yeoman, William Blundell, jun., yeoman, all of Meppershall. The deed recites the foundation-deed of this charity, dated 1692/3, by which Elizabeth Emery (sister & heir of Sarah Emery, decd.) of Ampthill, conveyed in trust to John Salmon, of Meppershall, clerk, the said George Watson, Benjamin Norman of Pulloxhill, clerk, Thomas Arnold, jun., of Ampthill, gent., Edward Hill of Maulden, yeoman, & the said Thomas Harvy, the property described in P30/25/44; from the rents of which one half to be devoted to "putting forth poor children" of Ampthill to school, the other half likewise for the poor children of Meppershall.
