Scope and Content
(i) Charles Lord Bruce (son & heir apparent of Earl of Ailesbury);
(ii) Rob. Bruce, esq. (2nd. son of the late Earl of Ailesbury); & Ezechiel Rouse, rector of Ampthill, Jasper Webb, jun., & Thos. Bedcott, overseers, & Chas. Richards & Jn. Richardson, churchwardens, Recites the bequest of the late Thos. Earl of Elgin of £50 to the poor of Ampthill, by his will dated 1647; also that he made Robert, late Earl of Ailesbury his executor; that the latter made Diana his wife his executor; that she made the said Robert Bruce her executor; that interest on the sum has been continually paid; & that Robert Bruce is willing to pay the £50 into the hands of Lord Bruce, in trust. By this deed, the rector, etc. agree to the transfer. [Signature & arml. seals of the two Bruces].
