    From: Robert How, Luton; To: Thomas Sworder "Old Brewery Properties I have received the annexed letter from Mr.Bennett this morning and if you think it desirable will you have the kindness to draw a Notice in duplicate and sign them and let me have them in time for the 25. I expect you will have seen Mr.Brown before this reaches you he informed me last night he was coming over to Hertford this day and would call on you. Mr.Brown is paying £50 per annum for the Malt House & premises on the North side of the yard I don't know whether you will require more of Messrs Anstee Bennett & Co or not. If so please say the rent you require of them". From: Benjamin Bennett, straw manufacturer of 20 Mar 1865 Dunstable; "Please give Mr.Brown notice. We should like you to make an arrangement with him so that we could make during the Summer the alterations we propose to carry out. They would be made principally to the Kilns & we should not interfere with him". On dorse "Notice to quit and deliver with possession on the 29 day of Sep next all that Malthouse and premises situate and being on the North side of the Old Brewery yard in the Town & parish of Luton in the County of Bedford which you now hold of me at the annual rental of £50"
