10/7/16: Landguard, Felixstowe 12 noon - Battalion received orders to mobilize for Service Overseas. This was carried out from 10th-24th July 1916 24/7/16: Landguard-Southampton 3 am - battalion entrained at Felixstowe Town Station & proceeded to Southampton. 6.30 pm - Embarked on SS Inventor and arrived at [Le] Havre 6 am on 25th.7.16 26/7/16: [Le] Havre 3.30 pm - Left Base Camp and arrived Havre Station 5.15 pm. Left at 7.20 pm 27/7/16: Houdain-Coupigny 1 pm - Arrived Houdain and marched about 9 miles to Coupigny. 5.30 pm - Arrived Coupigny at this hour and formed part of the 190th Infantry Brigade, 63rd (R.N.) Division, IV Corps, 1st Army under Brigadier General C.N.Trotman CB 31/7/16: Coupigny 9 am - Brigadier-General C.Trotman CB Commanding the 190th Inf Brigade inspected the Battalion [B.Loder, Captain, Adjutant]
