Brigade attacked & captured the KNOLL E. of RONSSOY forming left flank to Americans. Battalion in Reserve except "A" Coy. under command of Lieut.R.I.Edwards MC attached to a Battalion of Americans to do liaison work. "B" & "C" Coys employed as carrying parties "D" Company formed "Mopping up" Company. Battalion Hd Qrs W. of RONSSOY WOOD 30 Sep 1918 "B" & "C" Coys. were ordered to proceed to VENDHUILLE as mopping up Coys. but did not arrive as village was not captured. Battalion relieved 11th Royal Fusiliers in the line & cleared the village of VENDHUILLE up to the canal. 2/Lieut.H.B.Lang, 2/Lieut.G.Hyslop, 2.Lieut.C.J.Sturges, 2/Lieut.I.L.Whittingham joined Battalion from Base.
