    Copy will of Thomas Albon Carter of Gwyn Street, Bedford, gentleman [died 12 May 1860; will proved in PPR 10 Sep 1860]: - to his nephew Samuel Carter of Luton, only son of his dead brother Samuel of Luton, 500; - to his brother George of Charing [Kent] 500; - to his brother Charles of Tavistock Street, Bedford 500; - to his brother Benjamin of Garbett Street, Birmingham [Warwickshire] 500; - to his sister Eliza Davis of Buckingham Street, Birmingham 500; - to the children of his dead brother Bernard 500 to be divided equally between them; - to his niece Charlotte Pratchall 100; - to his sister Harriet 50; - his nephews Samuel Carter of Luton, John Carter of Chelsea [Middlesex] and Thomas Albon Carter of Birmingham to be joint executors; - an account of his property would be found in a small mahogany writing desk - witnesses: John Skerman of St.Loyes Street, Bedford, brazier; Hinton Gibbs Crawley of Tavistock Street, Bedford, butcher Codicil: - surplus of property to be divided equally amongst his siblings with the executors to have 15 each instead of surplus goods; - to his nephew Samuel Joseph Carter his gun; - to John Carter of Chelsea his writing desk and a glass mug; - to his brother Benjamin all his waistcoats, coats, boots, hats, shoes and trousers; - to his nephew Thomas Albon Carter three boxes, two table spoons, two salt spoons and six tea spoons (all silver), his flute and whatever else the three boxes contained, his carpet bag, gold watch, seal ring and case of razors; - to his nephew Osmond Davis a gold ring; - to his nephew Charles Stephens Carter a glass mug "To my Executors Samuel Joseph Carter, Luton; John Carter Chelsea, Middlesex, Thomas Albon Carter, Birmingham I ask you and all of you to fulfil my last request with honor to yourselves and in justice to all"
