- mortgage of 26 Feb 1821 after whicj Joseph Gutteridge erected a dwellinghouse on the land adjoining existing dwellinghouse built by him and known as Bricklayers Arms;
- Thomas Anderson then occupied newly built dwellinghouse, leaving it about two years ago at which time Joseph Gutteridge added it to Bricklayers Arms in his own occupation;
- Bricklayers Arms sold at auction at George Inn, Luton on 24 Jul and bought by Frederick and Charles Burr
