    Parties: (i) Edward Chase late of Luton, now of New York City [USA] surgeon; (ii) Frederick Crawley of Luton, butcher; (iii) John Crawley of Luton, butcher Reciting: - Lease & Release of 30-31 Jan 1786 in which William Goldsmith and Elizabeth, his wife released close of pasture called Langleys in Luton of 4 acres late in occupation of Elizabeth Goldsmith and William Hinson to use of John Chase and William Anstee, his trustee; - will of John Chase of 21 Oct 1836, amongst other things, devising his dwellinghouse and garden with field at rear, formerly Langleys, to Frederick Chase and Joseph Holden Turner to use of Frances Chase for her life, remainder to trustees in trust for Edward Chase charged with payment of 200 to his brother Frederick Chase; - codicil to will of John Chases of 12 Feb 1838 appointing George Gilbert of Colchester [Essex] as additional executor and trustee; - codicil to will of John Chase of 28 Mar 1842 revoking trusts in favour of his son Edward Chase to whom he now devised the premises outright, hoping that "he would exercise a proper degree of prudence in management and disposal"; - codicil to will of John Chase of 28 Mar 1842 revoking trusteeship and executorship of his son Frederick Chase, replacing him with Robert Jennings Crosse; - death of John Chase on 22 Apr 1843 and proof of his will in PCC on 26 Apr 1843; - release 27 May 1845 by (1) Joseph Holden Turner; Robert Jennings Crosse; (2) Frances Chase; (3) Frederick Chase to (4) Edward Chase and his trustee (5) Daniel Gilbert of land at rear of house in occupation of Frances Chase [house not released], part of Langleys, iin occupation of Edward Chase Operative Part: - (i) conveyed (a) to (ii) for 295 Property: (a) dwellinghouse in Park Street West, Luton, with room, washhouse, stable, well and yard adjoining, bounded: SE by Park Street West; SW by property of George Pates; NW by property of Charles Burr; NE by property of Gilbert; this having been part of Langleys Habendum: - to use of (ii), to use of (iii) in trust for (ii) to use of (ii) Witnesses: - Thomas Waller of 59 Cedar Street, New York; - Richard Waller of 59 Cedar Street, New York
