- TitleStatement of facts surrounding extinguishment of manorial incidents for Manor of Eaton Bray: - at beginning of 1936 a list of tenants included: Mark Hazzard of Eaton Bray; Misses Buckmaster of Doolittle Mill, Totternhoe; Jesse Bird of Totternhoe; Roberts & Wilson of Ivinghoe [Buckinghamshire]; Rev.J.Carter of Eaton Bray; Arthur Thorn of Putney [Surrey]; - on investigation it was found that Hazzard had extinguished the incidents on 31 Jul 1934, Bird on 29 Sep 1933 (and subsequently sold the land to William Henry Barton) and Roberts & Wilson on 18 Jun 1928; - The Ladies of the Manor instructed Benning & Hoare not to press either the Misses Buckmaster or Rev.Carter and compensation was accordingly abandoned; - Thorn paid compensation by agreement on 29 Sep 1936 in respect of incidents compulsorily extinguished but not in respect of mines, minerals, sporting rights etc which consequently were still outstanding and would not be extinguished until after 1940
