- TitleI am glad to get your letter but am sorry that your mother has been so unwell & also that the children have been on the sick list. I hope all is improving in that line. You seem to have been about a good deal lately & I hope seen some interesting places. The clocks of your uncle must be most interesting. We are having a really cold spell here. I advise you to wait till the days are a little longer, but almost any date after the middle of next week would suit me. My son is coming to me for this weekend and my Bishop [Philip Loyd of St Albans] is coming to lunch with me next Monday. After that I have few engagements. I am engaged on the afternoon of the12th. We don't seem to make much progress towards genuine peace, and crime seems to increase, especially among the young. I have not been quite so well as usual lately, but I can't complain much. [PS] Suggest when you feel it would be convenient [to make a visit]
