Thanks for your letter and the photo of the children. They certainly look well & in good fettle. I am sorry they have had infant medical troubles. My elder son had an operation for adenoids when young. They (children) develop much better after removal of adenoids. It sometimes makes a tremendous difference. I have kept fairly well thank you, but as I grow older I feel less up to writing letters and other doings than I used. Let me know what days are possible and I will see f I can arrange for your coming over. I am expecting my family to come over and see me in relays during the coming month (& partly in August) and I would rather you came when I was alone, or I would see little of you. I have another book to give you & also the recent Country Lifes. Your children will enjoy the sea at Brighton. I began cutting hay last week & hoped to have got on with the making today, but it is showery this morning. I am expecting two cows to calve now at any minute. My dairy is rather low. We had a big rally at Luton Hoo on Saturday with Winston Churchill speaking. It seems to have gone off without a hitch, and they had 100,000 present. But this world is in a dreadful state with invasion threatening again and the food supply in danger with these strikes. With all best wishes.
