- TitleThanks for your letter. I am much looking forward to seeing you on Monday and hope we shall still have this nice sunshine. Your letter has come by the afternoon post. I am expecting a new calf to be born any minute. I am very low in my dairy yield just now, but have just had a very good report from the Official Visitors A1 - A1 in every detail for many months. I was sorry to see about the dreadful fire at Naseby. I have not been in the house. I am glad to see that Ham House is to be given to the nation. I remember going there many years ago to meet the former Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh. We were asked not to go in large bodies into the middle of the rooms as the floors were not considered safe. The Tollemaches are a clever but very mad family.
