I am most grateful for your further handsome present of lovely and delicious oranges. I have just had one for breakfast. Very many thanks. It is snowing here this morning. I do long for a thaw. The fuel question causes great discomfort. I of course remember hard winters but we then could warm our houses and got good clothing and other comforts. I do not at this moment realise the "Georgian Mansion" in Houghton Park Ampthill". I will try and make out what it refers to. I hear that the Ampthill Urban Council have purchased part of the Park of Ampthill House [sic] that is full of German prisoners. Again, many thanks & come when weather is more pleasant.
