    Folio 63 - see also ABP/R11 Folio 56d - Bryan Byby of Bedford made 23 Mar. 1545, pr. 22 Apr. 1545. Body to be buried in church yard of St. Polles in Bedford. To mother church of Lincoln 4d.. To Grace his servant who is his sister's daughter his best featherbed with the bedstead, the covering and all things pertaining to it. Also to Grace his three looms standing in a row in his shop. To servant William Cassand, Grace's brother, the next best bed with all that pertains to it, and also the new loom and the furthest loom in his shop.. To Peter Harvy another bed which is the worst of the three with all that pertains to it. To Robert Walcar his servant the loom that the same Robert works on, but should he go away from Bedford, then William Cassand to give Robert 3s. 4d. for the loom To servant Peter Havy testator's "foreshoppe" and all that goes with it. To him also testator's house at the feast of St. John Baptist come a twelvemonth, with all the wood that shall be left there. To testator's daughter Cysly 2 matresses with all things belonging to a bed Residue of goods to be divided between Peter Harvy, William Cassand and his sister Grace Cassand, and testator's daughter Cysley. If anyone disputes with the others, then he or she to lose their share. Peter Harvy is to give to poor people every Good Friday for the next 10 years 20d. to pray for souls of testator, his grandfathers and granddames and all Christians. Should Peter Harvey die without issue, then William Cassand to have the house, and should he die without issue, then it to go to his sister Grace, and then descend according to the wishes of the last of them to survive. To testator's brother Henry Byby his best gown, and to brother in law Henry Cassand his second gown. To testator's brother Laurens Byby his coat. To whichever is the first to marry, either Peter Harvy or William Cassand, testator's best doublet and worsted jacket. To each of his brothers and sisters 6s. 8d.. To his servant Grace 6 of his best silver spoons, a pair of testator's wife's best beads and her best girdle. To Grace's brother William Cassand 3 silver spoons. To brother-in-law Henry Cassand 6s. 8d.. To Bedford bridge 3s. 4d.. Executors William Cassand, Peter Harvy and Grace his maid. Supervisors to be William Burne/Borne of Wotton and Richard Knight of Bedford. Witnesses Master Carre, whitesmith of Bedford, and others.
