Cover. Part of court 30 Aug. 1521: John bishop of Lincoln in his great chamber in his manor of Wouborn [pres. Bucks] Robert Bartlet of parish of Hamersham, husbandman, heresy. Nearly all wills begin with the testator commending his soul to God, the Blessed Virgin Mary and the holy company of Heaven. This has been omitted from the abstract unless there is a change from the usual formula, which could be evidence of changing views, so any variation in the commendation is noted.
