    [f. 17d] (see also ABP/R 6 f. 24) Thomas Harding of Howghton [Regis], made 15 May 1540, proved 3 June 1540. Burial in churchyard of All Hallowes in Howghton near our Lady Chapell. To the high altar for forgotten tithes 4d.; to the church of Lincoln 2d.; to the torches in Howghton church 4d.. To son William Hardinge a coverlet that was his mother's, a pair of blankets, 2 pair of sheets, a great pot and the best pan and the table in the hall, a bench board, a four posted chair, another three posted chair, testator's best cart and best plough. To youngest daughter Joane and to Elzabeth her sister 10 quarters of barley each, to be paid at Michaelmas in two years time. If either die before then, the other to have both legacies. To youngest daughter Joane10 sheep. To wife Elzabeth and son William all his household stuff within the hall and the two chambers above, "the Dyssh" to be parted between them. To son William all his other goods to pay debts and give wife Elzabeth £6 13s. 4d.. Son William executor, supervisor Henry Howse of Sewell. Witnesses William Fossey, Richard Romkinges and Richard Webbe.
