Nearly all wills at this date begin with the commendation of the testator's soul to God Almighty, Our Lady, and to all the saints in heaven. This has been omitted from the abstract unless there is a variation from the usual formula, which could be evidence of changing view. This volume contains also cases that came before the Archdeacon's court, and these too have been abstracted for personal names.
