- Title[f. 12d] (see also ABP/R 6 f. 15) Richard Manley junior, made 12 Feb. 1539/40, proved 13 March 1539/40. Burial in church or church yard of Potton. To his father Richard Manley all goods, corn and cattle in Bedfordshire or elsewhere in England, except the lands and tenements which testator bought of Aland Daland, yeoman, in Potton, which he leaves to his daughter Ceceley Manley and her heirs, if it please God that she lives, and on her death if she die without issue, then the land to go to Henry Manley testator's brother, though testator's father Richard Manley to have the use of the land in the mean time paying the money that remains to be paid to Aland Daland. His household goods to be divided according to his father's judgement, half to his daughter Ceceley and the residue to his sisters and brothers, and sir William Manley to have a feather bed; his sister Agnes to have his wife's violet furred gown; and a black chamblet kirtle; his sister Elizabeth to have his wife's black furred gown; and his brother John his frieze coat. To Agnes Plummer a stone mortar. To the high altar in Potton 12d. and to the bells 12.. To his brother sir Richard Manley one "voysen' " lying in testator's chest at Temysford. To his uncle Thomas Marten a "curtall" gelding. Residue to father, who is his executor. Witnesses sir Thomas Fetherston vicar, sir Ambros, Master T. Carter, Thomas [?]Matyn'.
