Letter from Leonard Withers of 38 Lambert Cottages, Kings Dock, Swansea: - I was supposed to work last night but it was too wet so I went out at 6.0 this morning and I was asked to wait till it got light and he (the foreman) would give me a job. I don't know, but he must have gone blind because it was half past twelve before he told me he could do nothing. I came home by 1.0 and scribbled a few lines (which I am going to burn now) then went back at 2.0. My luck was just the same so I have got to go out at 10.0 tonight. I am fed up with Patent Fuel Works but I don't know of a new works. - I don't fancy the chances of the Swans or Cardiff in the next round. Lucky Reading being drawn home again. - I haven't been talking to any more of your relations yet. - It was good in the Albert Hall on Monday. - How is your drama getting on? Are you bound to pay for Jack being in hospital? I don't suppose he (Jack) has found a light job yet?
