- I can't say when I will be up again, as now I am working over in the Phoenix I have got to look out for a notice every day.
- 'You ask me how I feel. Well I wonder how you would feel if I didn't write to you for nearly a week and as it is 4 months since I did any work, I can hardly hold anything. My face last Friday was like a furnace and it has started to peel. (so I see a freak now when I look in the glass) Yesterday (Sun) I done over 40 miles on the back of Leslie's motor bike and I can hardly walk today.
- There is a match here tonight but I don't think I will go. Swan's reserves and Tottenham reserves. It is starting to rain so no match for Len.
