Letter from Leonard Withers of 38 Lambert Cottages, Port Tennant, Swansea (addressed to 'Guide G.E. Thomas, Children's Summer Homes, Llangennith, Gower): - I am glad to say that the cold which I have had since Sunday is leaving me and it was that cold more than anything else (barring you) that made me feel miserable last Mon, and I had a game of solar whilst with Pat, Jack and my mother but it was a long night. - I have not learnt any more of that Tondu stuff but I thought I was going to have some other stuff with your o la la but I don't know if you comprehend, oui oui. The Frenchman's side just held their own at tip it and that's all. - If it is raining on Sat there will be no match for Len but I have looked for the Empire with Pat and my cousin Leslie. - I asked Leslie about the motor bike last Sat and he said the licence had run out and it was not worth risking without it. - I hope the Swan's win as I have done them on a football coupon. I had hard luck last week one draw let me down so better luck next time.
