Letter from Leonard Withers of 38 Lambert Cottages, Port Tennant, Swansea (addressed to 'Guide G.E. Thomas, Children's Summer Homes, Llangennith, Gower): - I am wondering what to do with myself tonight as Mr. and Mrs. Billington have gone to the Grand Theatre with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas I think. - On Saturday afternoon I laid down on the bed as there was no match and I got up at 5.0 pm and my mother said that Mr. and Mrs. Grant were down so I went straight over and they both look well as well as Phyllis. - As for dancing Gwyn the craze has not got me yet, but it may someday (one never knows does one). - We had a full house playing tip it last Thurs & Fri, there was Jack Lovell, Dai Vaughan & your Uncle Tom besides Mr. and Mrs. Thomas, Mr & Mrs. Bill, Sidney, Pat & myself. Five aside and plenty of sport.
