Letter from Leonard Withers of 38 Lambert Cottages, Port Tennant, Swansea:
- I am glad to hear that you are coming back for good (better
than the longest of days).
- You know (I think) Mr. Hallibone living in No. 20, well he passed away on Tuesday night (poor fellow) he has been had with cancer in the throat.
- Mrs. Jones (No. 16 next door to Mrs. Billington) had an Aunt killed in that Charabanc smash on stormy hill near Pyle.
- Well Gwyn I don't think I will be at Tondu for a bit as the weather is so bad for cycling and I must not lose any pegging. I hope you won't think I don't want to come.
- Sorry to hear that your father can't get a boot on yet but I hope it won't be long before he can.
