Letter from Leonard Withers of 38 Lambert Cottages, Port Tennant, Swansea: - It is a pity you did not go to Porthcawl as it was a fine day. - The carnival down here was the best they have ever had. - The Swansea Corporation had a good turn out it was one lorry fixed with an old fashioned stove and everything was black and the people and kids dirty greasy and then the latest style everything done by electricity all shining and clean. (indeed it was great). - I hope Mr. and Mrs. G. enjoyed themselves and I am glad you have company up there. How's your father's foot and himself getting on, is he able to put any weight on it yet. How is Jack, Joan & Phyllis. Hope your mother is here again.
