- Scope and Content(i) Robert Wilberforce Bird of Barton House, Shipston on Stour [Warwickshire], esquire; George Henry Brooks of 7 Godliman Street, Doctors Commons, City of London, esquire; (ii) John Hatfield Brooks of Flitwick Manor House, esquire; (iii) John Thomas Green of Woburn, gentleman Reciting: - marriage settlement of 17-18 Apr 1816 limiting Flitwick Manor House Estate to the use of John Thomas Brooks and Mary Brooks, remainder to the use of their children as tenants in common with cross remainders between them; - bond of 21 Dec 1850 [HN2/B3/19/1] binding (ii) to (i) in the sum of £18,000 void if he married Sophia Margaret Myburgh Cloete (as he did) that he should pay £9,000 to (i), charging his interest in Flitwick Manor House Estate as security; - marriage settlement of 21 Dec 1850 in which trustees stood possessed of John Hatfield Brooks' £9,000 in trust to invest it and pay income to John Hatfield Brooks; - receipt in writing of the trustees for any money payable to them under the settlement would be sufficient discharge; - indenture of 1880 between (1) John Hatfield Brooks; (2) John Green; (3) John Thomas Green in which Flitwick Manor House Estate (previously disentailed by (1) and his two brothers) was assured to (2) as trustee of the will of John Thomas Brooks; - the sum of £9,000 was owing to (i) as trustees but all interest had been retained by (ii); - (ii) wished to discharge the principal sum and cancel the bond; - the bond had been lost; - (i) would enter into a covenant to produce the marriage settlement of 1850 - (ii) paid £9,000 to (i); - (i), at request of (ii), released and (ii) released Flitwick Manor House Estate from all moneys it secured; - (i) covenanted with (iii) to produce the marriage settlement of 21 Dec 1850
