Catalogue and conditions of sale of live and dead farming stock to be sold by auction at the Rectory and Victoria Farms, Carlton by W & H Peacock on 30th September 1938 with instructions from Mr H C Lay At Victoria Farm: 200 lots containing miscellaneous deadstock including: "Bentall" root pulper and grinding mill, oat crusher, "Roberts" plough, "Martin" cultivator, "Ferniman" hay loader, "Hetley" elevator, "Lister" milk cooler and reservoir, "Smith" sterilising chest, "Beatty" mono rail 'overhead manure tip'. At Rectory Farm: 80 lots of livestock including pigs, sheep, a dairy shorthorn herd including roan pedigree shorthorn bulls, "Wicken Park Charles 11"; "Ansley Corporal"; "Carlton Charles"(all licenced by Ministry) and horses. Includes complete record of sale prices achieved.
