Bond of George Scott of Long Alley, St. Leonard, Shoreditch, Mdx.,
carpenter and surveyor to John Franklin of Leighton Buzzard, gent.
for the penal sum of £385 to secure the surrender made by George Scott
and Susanna his wife to the use of J.F. of certain property held of
the manor of Leighton Buzzard als. Grovebury, i.e.
a mess. with appurtenances in North End, Leighton Buzzard;
a customary cottage adjoining the above;
20 acres arable lands in the common fields (full schedule)
all of which were heretofore in the tenure of Isaac Fanch, now or late
of Thomas Arnald and the widow Hood,
to which Geo. Scott was admitted at court held 31st January
1743 on surr. Thos. and Mary Barnard, and which was heretofore
the estate of one William Fennor.
